Next Week (June 1-4):
The students will continue to simply follow an alternating A/B schedule that will alternate everyday, including Wednesdays. Please see the calendar at this link for the day to day schedule and please note that the days of the week that are A days and the days of the week that are B days will vary week to week. For those students who are attending in person, bus pick up and drop off will remain the same.

The Superintendent has shared with the community that we have seen a decline in COVID cases among our students and staff. We appreciate your efforts to limit the possible spread of COVID by taking necessary precautions outside of school. Moreover, we are pleased to hear the continuing good news about the gradual reduction of COVID cases statewide.
End of the Year Information (grades 9-11):
Students in grades 9-11 will keep their Chromebook over the summer and use them next year.
Yearbook distribution and returning materials for IN-PERSON 9th, 10th, 11th graders only:
On Monday, June 14th and Wednesday, June 16th yearbooks will be distributed to in-person students in the 9th, 10th and 11th during homeroom. Students will return any materials to their classroom teachers. Students will keep their school issued Chromebook for use next year.
Yearbook distribution and material drop off for REMOTE 9th, 10th, 11th graders only.
On Tuesday June 15th and Wednesday June 16th from 1:30 to 3:30 PM remote students in 9th, 10th and 11th will be permitted to pick-up yearbooks and drop-off items, except for school issued Chromebooks, at the High School.
Anyone who needs to pick-up and/or drop-off items at the school, must sign up for a time slot in the Sign Up Genius.
Pick-up of yearbooks and drop-off of items will take place in the West Parking Lot.
Pick-Up will be outside of the 500 building and Drop-off will be outside the 300 hallway entrance.
All items being dropped off must be in a bag that is labeled with the student’s name and must also include a list of the contents in the bag.
Please be sure to read the outlined procedure below prior to coming to the school:
On your designated date and time, parents and/or students will drive up to the west parking lot driveway in a designated, marked lane, to the entrance of the 500 building.
Your student ‘s pre-labeled yearbook will be placed on the appropriate table based on the letter of the last name of the alphabet.
One person will get out of the car and retrieve the correct bag from the table. The person must wear a mask.
The individual will then, if needed, pull up to the drop off station, which is up near the 300 hallway entrance. If no drop off is needed the car will need to wait patiently for the line to move.
If no pick up is needed, then individuals will wait in line to pull directly up to the drop off station.
One person will get out of the car and place the bag that is clearly labeled with school materials on the table. The person must wear a mask.
The car will then drive away.
Please come at your designated time, follow all procedures for pick-up and drop-off of items and practice social distancing.

Attention Senior Parents
Calling all Class of 2021 Seniors:
The Counseling Department requests that the parent/guardian of any senior complete the Senior Graduate Consent Form using their Parent PowerSchool account. This form can be found in Senior Forms under the General Forms section. This allows for your student's name to be printed in the graduation program with their future plans. Please complete this form by May 21st.
Seniors, make sure to complete the Senior Exit Graduation Survey in Naviance. Reach out to your counselor if you need assistance with accessing your account or with any last minute planning.

Senior Send Off 2021:
We are planning a Senior Send Off for our students - on Monday, June 14 from 12:30 - 2:30 on the lacrosse field. Please note this date change. The plan is for students to pick up their caps & gowns, yearbooks, senior t-shirts and yard signs. Students will be able to get their yearbooks signed by both staff and peers. There will be bagged lunches available and water ice. We encourage seniors to bring blankets or folding chairs.
Returning of materials (including Chromebook):
In-Person Students
On Wednesday, June 16th, all in-person students will hand in Chromebooks to their English teacher. In addition, all other school materials should be handed back to the teacher of the corresponding class. If there are extenuating circumstances adhering to the deadline, students should contact the main office.
Remote Students
On Wednesday June 16th from 1:30 to 3:30 PM remote students in 12th grade will be permitted to drop-off school materials at the High School.

Graduation, June 17th
Please view the Graduation Newsletter here. It is important that all seniors and their parents complete the required information in order to participate in the ceremony.

Prom 2021:
The Prom (Seniors & Juniors only) will be held on Friday, June 4th from 7pm - 11 pm at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill.
We still must maintain COVID protocols for indoor gatherings. COVID protocols for indoor school gatherings still require masks to be worn the whole evening. Dancing will be permitted. Desserts will be served.
Students should not arrive earlier than 6:45 pm. Students will NOT be allowed in Prom after 8 pm. Students will NOT be allowed to leave prior to 10 pm.
Students will be required to give their name for check in and must bring their school ID. Tickets or receipts are not needed.
Look for additional announcements in google class - classrooms.
Student Vaccinations:
COVID vaccines are now available for adolescents age 12 and older. Among other locations available for appointment, the Burlington County Megasite at the Moorestown mall is now taking appointments for this age group.

May 2021 COVID Mobile Testing Schedule
Summer Band:
The Music Department of Northern Burlington will once again offer our free SUMMER BAND program this summer. All band students entering grades 5-12 are invited and encouraged to take this opportunity to continue their instrumental music education.
This year's program will be held in the HS band room June 28th-July 1st (Monday-Thursday), and July 12th-July 15th (Monday-Thursday). The full schedule and registration can be found at nbcbands.com.
Origami Fun After School Program:
This program is free to all Northern Students, grades 7 to 12 and takes place via Google Meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm starting May 19th through June 17th. Registration is required. Click HERE for more information.
Driving School:
Northern’s Driving School is OPEN all summer.

Clinical Corner Spotlight:
Clinical Corner Spotlight – Northern Burlington has partnered with Effective School Solutions and they will be hosting virtual parent/community workshops. Our next virtual session is Wednesday, June 2nd from 6:30 to 7:30pm and you are invited to attend! The presentation topic will be “Caring for the Caregiver” presented by: Eva Brown. This workshop assists caregivers in identifying signs and symptoms of caregiver stress, as well as teaching steps caregivers can take in order to preserve their own health and well-being. Group Counseling for students: NOW ENROLLING FOR SUMMER SESSIONS - We are excited to announce that Northern Burlington School District has recently collaborated with First Children Services (FCS) to provide therapeutic mental health services; group counseling to students. This is a free 6-week group (in-person) where students will engage with a licensed clinician and their peers to discuss various topics such as: emotional regulation, self-esteem, friendship and relationship issues, behavior management, stress management, fears or worries, academic progress, conflict resolution, social skills, adjustment to school, etc. This partnership will enable students who meet the program criteria the opportunity to access these important services on school grounds. We will be offering these services throughout the upcoming year. If you are interested in having your child participate, please contact your child’s School Counselor.
High School – Tuesdays June 22nd to July 27th – 10:30am to 12pm
Middle School – Thursdays June 24th to July 29th - 10:30am to 12pm

Relay for Life:
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s virtual Relay for Life. Don’t forget it’s not too late to get those donations in, All fundraising efforts are continuing through July on the Relay for Life website: Relay For Life of Northern Burlington County
We can’t wait to start planning for next year’s in person Relay for Life, please reach out if you are interested in being on the planning committee.

Clothing Drive:
PTSC Spring Clothing Drive begins May 24th - We are back on!! Please use this fundraiser to clean out your closets and help those in need. We have used A & E Clothing Corporation, out of Carteret NJ, for many years. You may look at their website to learn about all the amazing work they do. Their website is www.aeclothing.net. Please bag your clothing and shoes separately. Items not accepted: electrical devices, glass, VCR tapes, large sports equipment, board games, books, pots and pans, puzzles, furniture, and large toys. Please do not drop any items off any later than 2:00pm on June 7th. One final request...due to all the regulations in place because of Covid, please be sure your bags are all properly sealed. Nothing should be exposed. Please help to keep us safe!

Message from the School Nurse:
The NJDOH recommends no student should attend school with any COVID-19 like symptoms until they have either received a negative viral test (molecular or antigen) for SARS-CoV-2 or they have completed an isolation period of at least 10 days since symptom onset and at least 24 hours after resolution of fever without fever-reducing medications with symptom improvement.
A Doctor's medical note without testing is no longer acceptable.
Please continue to share any COVID-19 cases or exposures with our school nurses. We ask that you directly contact your student’s nurse as this information is critical for monitoring community incidence & planning for safely keeping our school open.

We will release any information about COVID-19 cases on Monday and Thursday as opposed to daily notifications.
Medical guidelines have been issued at the local and nationwide levels recommending any person who has been Covid-19 Positive or presumed (suspected) Covid-19 Positive must be medically cleared after COVID-19 infection and before participation in sports, gym, or any school physical activity as there is a risk of post-Covid cardiac complications. Although vaccines are available for some of the population and infection rates have decreased we are still experiencing a moderate level of infection in our area. Please remain vigilant with social distancing and mask wearing.

Travel Advisories: Please remember we must still adhere to NJ Travel Quarantine Advisories. The announcement on 5/17/21, by Gov. Murphy, pertains to vaccinated individuals. Vaccinated travelers do not need to quarantine, but must submit a copy of the covid-19 vaccine card and monitor symptoms for 14 days after return. If your student travels outside our immediate area :New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, & Delaware and they are unvaccinated, they must quarantine prior to returning to school. Students are able to attend all of their classes virtually during that time, even if they are in the hybrid model. It is important to emphasize a few points with regard to health safety. Most importantly, students should not come to school if they are sick. The remote option is available on a day to day basis if a student has any symptoms on the day he or she is supposed to attend school in person but can still attend school at home.
