Dear Parents and Guardians,
We had a great and busy week of testing, activities and speakers this week. Our students really made us proud! Testing students were focused and working hard. Students in our assemblies were respectful and focused, asking and answering questions of the presenters and being attentive. Students completed activities and attended classes.
As we wind down the school near, the next three weeks will be filled with awards ceremonies, playoff sports games, concerts and performances (great job last night by our band!) and more. Please remind your students to check their Northern Burlington email address and their google classroom for important updates. Dr. McCann |

On Tuesday May 26th, seniors will report to the assembly on the access road between the middle school and Mansfield Elementary school immediately following opportunity period (11:38am). Two “crashed” cars will be placed there with student actors and actresses used to simulate the victims in an actual crash scene. Emergency vehicles, including police, fire, EMS, and medical helicopter will respond to the “crash” . Officer Buck will narrate the details of the scene. After the outside portion of the assembly is complete, seniors will return inside and have a debrief assembly in the auditorium. This event is meant to simulate a real crash scene. Therefore, there may be some facets of the event that are triggering for some students. Our counseling team will be in attendance to support any students who need it.

Senior Trip will be here before we know it! This year’s trip to Disney World costs about $2000. In order to help lighten the load of the scheduled payments beginning next September, we are allowing you the opportunity to make pre-payments now through August 2026. Pre-payments in any amount can be made at any time via cash, check (payable to “NBC Class of 2027”), or now credit card and will go towards your trip balance. Any pre-payments will come off your final scheduled payments next year. Any student wishing to go on the trip will still be required to make the first payment in September, no matter how much they have prepaid. If you make pre-payments and your student decides not to go, we can give you a full refund in September. SFAs may be experiencing increased calls from families concerned about the potential loss of SNAP benefits on November 1st. Please note the New Jersey Basic Needs Information Hub offers a comprehensive listing of websites that can assist households in locating a local food pantry or soup kitchen. Families may also choose to access the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Food Bank of South Jersey, Fulfill, Norwescap, and Mercer Street Friends websites directly to search for local food resources.
Thank you for providing these important resources to families at this time, and for your unwavering work to ensure New Jersey students receive healthy, nutritious meals every day. |

Did you know that May 2026 marks the 77th annual Mental Health Awareness Month. Green is the color associated with this initiative, and this year’s focus is on community support, reducing stigma, and promoting actionable wellness with the theme “More Good Days Together”. This is led by Mental Health America (MHA). They encourage reflection on what a “good” day looks like, both for ourselves and our communities. For activities and ways to get involved, check out their website for more information at www. mhanational.org. |

On Tuesday May 26, 2026, we will host our first ever Pre Prom Mock Crash Assembly. Seniors will experience a mock crash scene held on the access road between Mansfield Elementary School and NB Middle School. Emergency vehicles will respond to the scene and student actors and actresses will act out the aftermath of the crash. We recognize that some of the events depicted may be triggering for some students. Because of this, we will have narration of the events of the crash and a debrief in the auditorium after the event. Additionally, counselors will be available for any students who may need additional support in processing the scene. |
