Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have had many highlights to close out 2025, including a great band concert last night, where our talented musicians were able to showcase their talents. We also had many students participate in our spirit days and show off their creative and festive outfits over the past few weeks. Finally, we are excited to showcase our December students of the month, who are shown below.
Please take note of our Open House on Thursday, January 8th, where you can meet our staff, see our programs highlighted, and learn more about the courses we will be offering in the upcoming year. Come out to see the presentations listed below, to receive a tour from our students, or just to see all of the great activities NB has to offer- there will truly be something for everyone! Your students and future students are welcome to attend with you.
As this will be our last Parent Message of 2025, I would like to wish you all a happy holiday season and a great start to the new year. We are excited to continue to work with your children in 2026 and look forward to their return to the building on January 5th.

Northern Burlington has begun gathering information that will help us develop a new Strategic Plan. If you have not already, please consider providing feedback at this ThoughtExchange link. If you have already completed the survey, you can go back and rate responses that others have submitted. This online platform allows you to contribute by answering questions, sharing your thoughts, and rating the ideas of others. This feedback will be the foundation that will shape our new plan. We will host forums later this winter to discuss the results and next steps. |

SFAs may be experiencing increased calls from families concerned about the potential loss of SNAP benefits on November 1st. Please note the New Jersey Basic Needs Information Hub offers a comprehensive listing of websites that can assist households in locating a local food pantry or soup kitchen. Families may also choose to access the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Food Bank of South Jersey, Fulfill, Norwescap, and Mercer Street Friends websites directly to search for local food resources.
Thank you for providing these important resources to families at this time, and for your unwavering work to ensure New Jersey students receive healthy, nutritious meals every day. |

In keeping with discussing the holidays, while they can and should be a joyful time, they can be challenging after the death of someone you were close to. I wanted to share two good resources to help manage grief, around the holidays and just in general. Good-grief.org and the Dougy Center-www.dougy.org. The Dougy Center has an article titled Tips For Getting Through The Holidays with seven short strategies: Plan ahead-having a plan can minimize concerns, especially for children/teens. Don’t let other people determine what you “should” or “shouldn’t” do. Accept limitations. Doing things differently, even if that means less is ok. Celebrate different feelings and preferences. Be informed before attending events. Knowing what to expect can be helpful. Ask for help, even when it’s hard to do. People are eager to help. Take care of your physical body. Try to schedule downtime and rest.
While none of these are revolutionary, sometimes we just need reminders whether for ourselves or someone else. |
