Federal Impact Aid Survey
Starting October 13, 2023, Northern Burlington began electronically soliciting the US Department of Education's Federal Impact Aid Student-Parent Survey Form for the 2023-2024 School Year. This form is available through PowerSchool’s parent portal. This survey is important and determines the amount of Federal Impact Aid the district receives. Consequently, this form, one for each student, needs to be completed and submitted by you (student’s parent/guardian/sponsor) by Tuesday, October 31,2023. There will be drawings for gift cards to our school store as an incentive to students who have the survey form completed. Thank you!
Dual Enrollment - College Accelerated Program (CAP) Information
The Northern Burlington County Regional High School District has an agreement with Rowan College at Burlington County which enables our students to earn college credits for selected courses in which they are presently enrolled. Students earn a RCBC transcript which may be submitted for transfer credit to many colleges or universities. Students must request their transcript through RCBC upon completion of a CAP course.
Registration through the DualEnroll system is open. The application deadline for credit for courses taken during the 2023-2024 academic year was extended to Tuesday, October 31th. Visit RCBC CAP Program for information.

Clinical Corner
To continue with suicide prevention I thought it would be a helpful reminder of what red flags we need to look out for when it comes to suicide. Listed below are signs that someone may be thinking about hurting themselves:
Drastic changes in mood and behavior even if for the better
Engaging in risky behaviors
Aggressiveness and irritability
Possessing lethal means
Feeling like a burden
Isolating or feeling alone
Self-harm like cutting or other behaviors
A sense of hopelessness or no hope for the future
Making suicide threats
Giving things away
Making funeral arrangements
Substance abuse
Sometimes signs are not always perfectly clear either so trust your gut if you are not sure and ask. Let them know that this is a scary topic but one you are not afraid to talk about. When we bring our thoughts out into the light they become a little less scary than carrying them around in the dark alone.
