Please note that you will need to schedule appointments with each individual teacher that you would like to meet with. Next to each teacher's name, you will see three links to sign-up, one for each of the three conference windows. When you click the link, you may need to navigate to the correct date. You can do this easily by clicking the "Jump to the next available date" option. Remember, the first two sessions have already been held. Only the final session on November 12 is still available. If a date is showing no availability, that teacher's schedule may be full. The parent conference appointments can fill up quickly, like buying concert tickets. You are welcome to reach out to the teacher individually with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child’s progress. Once you schedule your appointment(s), you will receive email confirmations with room locations for in-person appointments and Google Meet links for virtual appointments. These email confirmations will also have instructions should you need to cancel your appointment. | | Since October 15, 2025, Northern Burlington has been electronically soliciting the US Department of Education's Federal Impact Aid Student-Parent Survey Form for the 2025-2026 School Year. I think sometimes there is an assumption that just because moving so much is part of their lifestyle, that they are “used to it”. However, the loss of community, friendships, and a sense of “home” can cause stress, sadness and depression. This is referred to as the “PCS let-down” and is a valid emotional response to the frequent restarts and instability of military life. It’s important to recognize and validate these feelings in order to process the move and accept the new environment. Acknowledging the grief is important in order to give the family permission to grieve what is lost and help them cope. Exploring the new location and creating new connections can also help the process. These kinds of non-death losses can be just as difficult to experience, they fall under the “ambiguous loss” umbrella and often people go through the same stages of grief as if they have lost someone close to them although the people, places and things they love are still here. On the opposite end of this are the families that suffer the loss of the family that moved away and are grieving their absence. If you know a military family going through either side of this, it can be helpful to bring over a meal, be welcoming or empathetic, or just saying something like: “Transitions can be so hard, how can I help?” can go a long way. | | Winter Athletic Registration is now being accepted for Winter 2025-26. Please be advised that this is a new online registration system that was put in place in August of 2025. Interested students simply need to sign up during their lunch period. | | PHOTO DONATIONS: In the past few years, we have had so many people generously donate photos from their lives at home. We would love to have you share photos with us from life outside of the school building (July 2025-January 2026). We typically use photos of summer vacations, celebrations (birthdays, holidays), and free-time activities (hobbies, sports, relaxing, etc), but we would appreciate all photos. When uploading, please take the time to tag the students in the photo.
