Middle School Summer Assignments: There are no formal assignments, however we strongly encourage students to remain sharp and continue to learn throughout the summer. There are many online resources to access as well as countless great books to read. Here is NB’s website for middle school summer enrichment. High School Summer assignments for students taking high school Advanced Placement & Honors courses can be accessed HERE. These assignments are not optional and are expected to be completed by the first week of school. Here is NB’s website for high school summer assignments and reading. State Assemblywoman Andrea Katz has arranged for all of our eighth graders to receive a certificate from the state legislature celebrating their completion of middle school. These were distributed to eighth grade students during homeroom on the last day of school, June 18th. Please look for your child to bring that home after the last day of school. Thank you to Assemblywoman Katz for arranging for the certificates. |

- Class of 2030 (Current Seventh Graders): Students returning for eighth grade will keep their Chromebook over the summer and use it again in eighth grade. Class of 2029 (Current Eighth Graders): Students had their Chromebooks and chargers collected on June 12 during PE classes. At that time they received their new Chromebook and charger for high school. In order to receive a new Chromebook, the Chromebook and Dell charger turned in must be in good working condition. In the event there are damages to the Chromebook that must be repaired, a new Chromebook will not be issued until that financial obligation is paid in full. A fee of $35 will be assessed for chargers not returned.
- For students leaving the district, regardless of grade, the Chromebook and charger issued must be returned to the school as part of the regular sign out process.
- Please be sure to keep the Chromebook safe. Remember, these devices are district property and activity continues to be monitored over the summer. It will need to be charged and ready to go when school resumes in September
