Feb 16 & 17:  A/B Cohorts

Feb 18 & 19: C/D Cohorts

Feb 23 & 26 Student Picture Make-up Day

In these times of uncertainty, the SATs are no exception. We understand that students begin preparing for the exam as early as middle school. Even before COVID, many colleges and universities have begun to examine the value of the SAT test and moved away from the requirement of reporting scores. This being said, it is recommended that students call schools they are interested in to inquire about the SAT requirement or value before taking the assessment. In many instances, the SATs are not required. Northern Burlington is hosting the upcoming March SAT at the middle school. The SAT is open to any student that would like to register. Seating will be limited so make sure to register using your College Board account. Registration closes TODAY, February 12, 2021. The test will be given on Saturday, March 13th at 8:00 am (students should arrive by 7:30 to be screened and check in). Any questions please reach out to your counselor.

Picture Makeup day for grades 9-11 will be February 23rd and 26th.  Students who are planning to participate will be expected to do so during their cohort.

Cohort A,B & F on Tuesday 2/23 during school hours, Cohort C,D & F on Friday 2/26 during school hours and Cohort E on either day between the hours of 12:30 and 4pm.

In order to participate, the ‘Yearbook Photo Make Up Day Grades 9-11’ form in PowerSchool must be completed. Students will be assigned a specific time to get their picture taken. The form can be filled out by either the parent or student and can be found under the “Other Forms - Current Students” category in the Forms section of PowerSchool, please complete by Feb. 16th.  Please remember you can only see the form section of PowerSchool through a web browser not the app.

Northern FFA Needs your Help!

National FFA Week (February 21st-27th) is right around the corner! The Northern Burlington FFA Chapter will be celebrating National FFA Week in new ways this year!.

Our chapter theme this year is “Plowing Through”, we are all plowing through this crazy year!  Traditionally, we have the Petting Zoo in the Red Barn on Friday of this week, but...we needed to come up with a way to show students animals!  With the help of Video Production we are putting together a video of our “petting zoo” and would love to include a picture/video of students/families, administration, faculty, and support staff with their animals - livestock, pets (Yes! Your dogs, cats, etc.).

Send your picture/video to (Emily Sadlon - Chapter President) by February 15th.

Look for our FFA Week Billboard on Route 206 this year!

We hope to see you and your pet/animal soon!

Any questions, please email

Attention Senior Parents:

Senior Diploma Survey:

We need to verify how students’ names will appear on their diploma.  This year to gather this information, we are using a survey in PowerSchool .  Please go to ‘Forms’  - then Senior Forms - then Senior Diploma and Cap & Gown Survey.  As with all surveys this can only be done through a web browser not the app.  We are opening the survey to be filled by either the parent or the student, so it will be accessible to both PowerSchool logins. Due date: February 15th.

Thank you to everyone who already completed the survey!

Senior Trip:

The Senior Trip is June 9 - June 12.  If NJ is still required to quarantine after traveling to Florida, the trip will be cancelled and the cost of the trip will be refunded. The travel company is giving us until March 12th to make that decision. At this time, we are all  hoping for the best.

Please be advised that graduation is still tentatively planned for June 17th.  Stay tuned for more specific details.

Clinical Corner Spotlight:

Understanding Our Emotional Reactions: Live Discussion with Yolanda Renteria – Parents, it’s important to learn about ourselves. Why do we emotionally react to things the way we do? Why do certain things trigger us? Why does some behavior of our child feel defiant? Why do we shut down and other times rise up? How can we make connections to our own childhood?  When do we feel shame or worthlessness? How can we heal our trauma and childhood wounds so we can show up as better parents?  Please click the link to access the recorded discussion:

The Physical Education department understands that health and safety are extremely important and are presenting this plan for equipment usage during our classes. Below you will find a  description of how we intend to facilitate distribution, usage, and collection of equipment throughout each school day. In addition, you will see how each item will be thoroughly cleaned between uses.

-Student arrives at the gymnasium, will use hand sanitizer and sit in their assigned spot.

-Teachers will have equipment pre-sorted by class/period based on the unit being presented.

-Teacher will place equipment in an assigned area to be picked up by individual students.

-Equipment will be utilized by only one student and will not be shared with others.

-Upon completion of the class, students will place equipment in designated areas to be thoroughly disinfected by the teacher and then stored.

Due to the nature of our classroom space, the teachers prior to each period will design a plan to maintain social distancing while students are using the equipment. A rotation schedule may be developed for each period depending on the number of students in attendance.

Students who do not yet feel comfortable handling equipment will be given an alternate activity/assignment that corresponds to the lesson of the day.

3rd Marking Period:

The 3rd Marking Period began on Monday, February 8th. Here is the link for the 3rd MP Calendar

Beginning Wednesday, February 10, students started following a half day bell schedule. They will participate in all of their eight classes remotely, on Wednesdays only. 3rd MP Bell Schedule

Message from the School Nurse:

The New Jersey Department acknowledges the state is in a "second wave" of coronavirus infections with transmission among school children often being without any symptoms.  Therefore, the NJDOH recommends no student should attend school with any COVID-19 like symptoms until they have either received a negative viral test (molecular or antigen) for SARS-CoV-2 or they have completed an isolation period of at least 10 days since symptom onset and at least 24 hours after resolution of fever without fever-reducing medications with symptom improvement.

A Doctor's medical note without testing is no longer acceptable.

Please continue to share any COVID-19 cases or exposures with our school nurses. We ask that you directly contact your student’s nurse as this information is critical for monitoring community incidence & planning for safely keeping our school open.
