The state of New Jersey has seen a growth in COVID-19 cases as cold weather approaches. We appreciate the students' work in following school safety practices designed to limit the chance of the spread of this virus. It is appropriate to echo the guidelines sent out in a recent notice from the Superintendent with a reminder follow the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention promoted safeguards, such as:
Staying home when you are sick;
Washing hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds;
Covering coughs and sneezes and properly disposing of tissues;
Limiting close contact with people who are sick and not sharing food, drinks and utensils;
Practicing social distancing (staying at least 6 feet apart);
Wearing a face covering while in school; and
Continuing to monitor your health for symptoms.
Following these practices increase our chances of keeping everyone healthy both in school and out of school.
If a student is planning to travel out of state please check the following:
Health & Safety Reminders:
It is important to emphasize a few points with regard to health safety. Most importantly, students should not come to school if they are sick. The remote option is available on a day to day basis if a student has any symptoms on the day he or she is supposed to attend school in person but can still attend school at home. If you have any medical questions, please contact our school nurse at extension 2216(west office) or 2085(east office). Covid Informational Flyers.
Federal Impact Aid Form - PAST DUE:
Each fall, the Northern Burlington County Regional School District reaches out to all parents asking that they complete the Federal Impact Aid survey. This is a very important document that needs to be completed in a timely manner. To make this process more convenient for our families, this Federal Impact Aid survey can now be completed electronically.
The Northern Burlington County Regional School District must receive an annual signed survey from ALL parents or guardians for EACH student in order to receive the federal funding of military affiliated students.
Please note that even if you are not active military or a civilian working on federal property, it is essential that ALL parents and guardians complete and sign this form as soon as possible.
Federal Impact Aid supports local school districts with concentrations of children who have parents/guardians in the uniformed services or parents/guardians employed on eligible Federal Properties. It was designed to assist local school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal Property served by the district. Each year, Northern Burlington receives Federal Impact Aid funds because of your cooperation in returning these surveys to us in a timely manner.
In order for our District to meet the filing deadline, we need to have the completed form(s) submitted no later than TODAY, even if your employment does not fall within the categories listed on the survey.
Click here to log into your PowerSchool parent account. Once logged in, click on the link on the left side of the webpage that says Forms. Choose the “Title VIII Federal Impact Aid Survey 2020-2021” to complete the form electronically. A form needs to be submitted for each student, however if submitting for multiple students, please click the arrow up key next to the submit button. This will allow you to submit the form for each student without having to reproduce each survey selection.
Thank you for your continued support of the Northern Burlington County Regional School District. If you have additional questions, please contact Kristie Worrell, Administrative Assistant, extension 2003 or Richard Kaz, School Business Administrator (609) 298-3900 extension 2080.
The district has put together the following handout to clarify activities on typical Wednesdays during hybrid instruction . That information can be found at this LINK.
As a reminder, student Chromebooks have tracking software installed, GoGuardian, to help ensure the technology is used appropriately. These devices should be used exclusively for school business.

Here is a short video to illustrate the process and more detailed directions are below.

Download the DOCS HealthWorks App from either the Google App Store or the Apple App Store (the app icon should appear orange & Android OS must be v.8 or newer)
On the DOCS HealthWorks App - Create an account: fill in your name, contact information, student ID number (the app and website will give you the option of entering the last 4 of your ss#, do not do that IT WON’T WORK - Parents can use the word VISITOR in place of the ID number) and the location code for the HIGH SCHOOL - R0D9 (zero - not letter O). Each day you visit the district the COVID-19 health assessment will need to be completed, if everything is within normal parameters you will receive a QR code for identification (this QR code is good for 1 day).
For students using their Chromebook

When you arrive at school
Follow the directions of the adults at the entrance who will direct you to present the QR code to the CapScann device for identification.
The CapScann device will then instruct you to place your wrist in the device opening aligning it with infrared light crosshairs for a precise temperature reading (look for the label on the kiosk.
Once the CapScann device reads the QR code, CapScann will provide 3 acknowledgements that include a green light indicating a normal temperature reading and authorization to enter the building.
The screeners will provide assistance throughout the entry process.
* Any individual presenting with a potential concern will be escorted directly to a rescreening area and further evaluated by medical staff, or asked to leave.
