Information

Aid in lieu of transportation shall be provided to eligible nonpublic school students Monday through Friday between September 1 and June 30 when the nonpublic school is in session. If all qualifications are met you will receive reimbursement in two payments (first semester) mid February and (second semester) mid June.

This only applies if all qualifications are met and Northern Burlington does not provide transportation to the private or choice school of the student

Qualifications

  • Student's residential address in Northern District must be within 2 to 20 miles to the attending non public school.

  • Non Public schools must be in the state of New Jersey

  • Parents / Guardians must submit a B6T form (Application for Private School Transportation) before March 10th preceding the school year

    • The public school will notify the parent/guardian as to the determination of each application by August 1. It is recommended that the parent/guardian contact their resident district transportation office to verify receipt of application if notification is not received by August 1.

  • Parents / Guardians must submit a B7T form (Request for Payment of Transportation Aid) for each student for the first and second semester payments.

    • First Semester form should be dated September thru January and must be turned in no later then January 2nd.

    • Second Semester form should be dated February Thru June and must be turned in no later then May 2nd.

  • All Non-Public schools are responsible for turning in the B8T form (Private School Transportation Summary) that is sent in for first and second semester.

You will only qualify for payments if all documents above are received and approved. If Northern provides transportation to the non-public school you will only need to submit the B6T form and transportation will be provided in place of reimbursement.
