Student Vaccinations:  While vaccinations for students age 12 and up are now readily available, the district is looking into the possibility of hosting a clinic to increase the number of people who are vaccinated.  It would be open to students and other family members (12 years of age and older).  To help us determine if there is any interest in these options, please take a few minutes to complete the following survey before Monday, June 7.  SURVEY LINK

Please note that this is only in the discussion phase and no formal plans have been made or committed to, so families seeking vaccinations for their children should continue to pursue them on their own.

As indicated above, COVID vaccines are now available for adolescents age 12 and older.  Several options are available for appointments or for walk in sessions.  To search the NJ COVID-19 dashboard for places to receive the vaccine please check https://covid19.nj.gov/pages/vaccine

or for COVID-19 testing

https://covid19.nj.gov/pages/testing

If a student needs to miss school to get a vaccination or its side effects, please submit a copy of the vaccination card to the school nurse (tpugliese@nburlington.com) for the absence to be excused.

Please continue to share any COVID-19 cases or exposures with our school nurses. We ask that you directly contact your student’s nurse as this information is critical for monitoring community incidence & planning for safely keeping our school open.

Summer Assignments:  NB’s Program of Studies includes Summer Assignments for Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses

All summer assignments will be available via Google Drive by June 14.  Please contact the director of the department with content related questions or your student’s counselor with placement questions.

Chromebooks:  Middle school students should plan to keep their chromebooks through the end of the school year.

  • For students who are signing out to go to a different school, the chromebook and charger will need to be returned prior to being able to withdraw and have records transferred.

  • For seventh graders (Class of 2026), the chromebook issued this year will be the same chromebook they will use next year in eighth grade.  Seventh graders should plan to bring that chromebook with them when school begins in September.

  • For eighth graders (Class of 2025), the chromebook issued this year will be collected and a new one issued for use in ninth grade.  Look for a message this summer for times and locations to return the chromebook and be issued a new one for high school.  It is anticipated that this will take place in August.  Look for further communications about this during the summer.
